I have a hp deskjet 3847 installed on a home computer running windows xp. I have the printer set as shared for the other computers in the house to use from the network.
My problem is that my wifes new laptop running windows 7 'sees' the printer but can't find the right driver on the network, it's looking for a 'INF' file. I took the printer and plugged it directly to her laptop (with windows 7) and it installed automaticly with no problems and works fine. I plugged it back into the desk top computer running windows xp and still the same problem. It has to be something simple, right?? Any help would be appreciated.
