I have a very old machine (HP Pavilion zv6000) with a RADEON Mobility Xpress 200m graphics card. Apparently, the drivers for Vista are supposed to work with Win7, (and by extension, I should think, Win8). These drivers are contained in the Catalyst Control Center (CCC) v.
However, they will not install from CCC, but return the error 'failed to find any installable components', including when run as an administrator or in compatibility mode. After much searching, I figured out I could access the proper drivers directly from the Update Driver wizard by choosing 'Browse for driver software', then 'Let me pick from a list of drivers', then 'Have Disk', browsing to C: ATI Support (something long) Packages Drivers Display LH_INF CL95951.inf, and then choosing RADEON Mobility Xpress 200 series from the list. Windows does not recognize these drivers as compatible with my hardware, but I choose to install anyway.
